Who We Are
Richmond Indivisible is a chapter of the national Indivisible movement in the San Francisco East Bay. We are a nonpartisan, diverse, grassroots group, dedicated to defending the Constitution and democratic values.
What we stand for
We promote a just society and stand with all people who are
targets of injustice.
We stand with our immigrant neighbors.
We work to hold all levels of government and the oligarchy
accountable.
We do this through joyful activism, civic engagement, mutual aid and electing progressive candidates.
We believe that together we can help create a truly representative society and better future for us all.
How we work together
UNITY
We prioritize shared goals and group unity over personal agendas.
EYES ON THE PRIZE
We give space for the expression of feelings, but keep our focus on that which is within our control. We are solution-oriented.
MUTUAL RESPECT
We create space for respectful, inclusive discourse and collaboration, listening with curiosity and humility, especially when perspectives differ. If we have a grievance with another member, we speak directly and privately with that person.
SHARED LEADERSHIP
We share and support leadership. Each of us is a learner and a leader. Learners keep their
minds open and are flexible. Leaders organize for the common good and help groups achieve their goals. We respect each other’s time, energy, and resources.
COMMUNITY
We express appreciation, kindness, care, and love for one another. We show up for each other in times of hardship and joy.
